by Manas Sharma Automotive

In June 2019, the French car manufacturer, Renault globally revealed its brand new vehicle – the Renault TRIBER. “India is a key market for Groupe Renault. We are still young to India, yet our ambitions are high in line with our ‘Drive the Future’s strategic plan: we aim at doubling our sales by 2022. For that reason, we are bringing Renault TRIBER, another breakthrough concept, targeted for India’s core market. Renault TRIBER was conceived, developed and produced in India, for Indian customers first before we take it to the world. It is a real game-changer,” said Thierry Bolloré, CEO of Groupe Renault, at the unveiling of the TRIBER.

This game-changer is built on a revolutionary new platform and combines best-in-class space with first-of-its-kind modularity within a length of 3.99 metres. After its global reveal, it has attracted many experts and consumers and is receiving positive comments in the market. If you are waiting for the launch of upcoming 7 seater cars in India, the TRIBER would be worth your wait.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Renault TRIBER.

1. Best-in-class space

TRIBER is thoughtfully designed to ensure the utmost comfort and convenience with every drive. It comes with the best-in-class passenger cabin space available in a sub-4 metre car and a best-in-class boot space of 625 litres. To ensure passenger comfort, a refrigerated central storage area and cup holders are accessible to everyone between the first and second seats. In addition to the refrigerated lower glove box, there is an upper glove box with a capacity of more than 4 liters. The TRIBER also features interior storage of up to 31 litres, more than double of what is usually available on similar-size hatchbacks.

2. Ultra-modularity

The space in the TRIBER is smartly optimised with 4 exciting modes and 100+ seating combinations. The first-in-industry innovative EasyFix seats can be attached or removed whenever required, turning it into a 6-seater or a 7-seater instantly. The 4 modes include: the 5-seater Life Mode, the 7-seater Tribe Mode, the 4-seater Surf Mode and the 2-seater Camp Mode.

3. Robust and attractive exteriors

TRIBER boasts a contemporary and sophisticated front-end that includes signature Renault design features such as LED DRLs circled in chrome and black headlamp masks. The Renault logo is highlighted on a triple edge chrome front grille, which extends to the striking projector headlamps that ensure perfect visibility and give the car an assertive look. The rear Eagle beak split tail lamps extend onto the outside of the wings and taper to point to the center of the tailgate, making the vehicle seem wider. Moreover, ground clearance of 182 mm and SUV Skid Plates lend it an impressive stance while offering protection on rough roads.

4.    Modern interiors

TRIBER’s interior exudes warmth and sophistication with two-tone colors, from deep black for the upper part of the dashboard to a beige and white tone for the lower part and door trims, a combination generally associated with elegance and high-quality ambience. Details such as the chrome trim on air vents, air-conditioning dials, the start/stop button, silver accents on the dashboard add to the overall visual appeal of the car. Moreover, it also features an LED instrument cluster, twin AC and MediaNAV evolution with 20.32 cm touchscreen, which comes integrated with Android AutoTM, Apple CarPlay, push-to-talk and video playback on your screen. The smart technology continues in the smart access card with keyless entry and the push start/stop button, to further enhance your driving experience.

With all this and more features on offer, the TRIBER is surely going to be one of the best upcoming 7 seater cars in India. TRIBER will be available in the market from 28th August 2019. When launched, it is definitely going to create a class of its own and take the market by storm by providing us enough space for everyone and everything.
