JEE Main 2014 Counselling, Second Round Seat Allotment Result

JEE Main 2014 Seat Allotment process is facilitated by Central Seat Allocation Board to allot seats to the meritorious candidates who have secured an All India Rank in JEE Main 2014 entrance test. The online counselling is being conducted CSAB website to allot seats to the candidates in the engineering and architecture undergraduate courses offered in the NITs ,IIITs ,CFTIs and SFTIs. The JEE Main 2014 Second Round Seat Allotment result is announced on the CSAB website as per the prescribed schedule given below:

CSAB 2014 Seat Allotment has been scheduled to be announced in 4 rounds i.e. 

  • 1st round of seat allotment -     14th July , 2014 
  • 2nd Round of seat allotment  -  19th July , 2014
  • 3rd Round of seat allotment   -  23rd July, 2014 
  • 4th Round of seat allotment  -   28th July , 2014

First round of seat allotment has been announced on 14th July 2014

To participate in JEE Main counselling and seat allotment, candidates were required to register online and and fill the choices of institutes and courses on the basis of their preference. Candidates could submit the choices only once which will be processed for all the seat allotment rounds and the once the choices had been locked by the candidates, they could not edit/delete them. The seat allotment to the candidates is based on the choices submitted by the candidates and their respective JEE Main 2014 All India Rank assigned by CBSE. On being allotted the seat, the candidates will be issued a provisional allotment letter online on the CSAB website which they can download and generate the print out as they will have to produce it in the admission process.

After each round of seat allotment, the candidates who are allotted seat are required to accept and confirm the seat allotted to them by making online payment of initial fee of Rs. 40,000/- as the confirmation fee for the seat allotment. Fee can be paid online through e-Challan /Debit card /Credit card / Netbanking. Payment of the initial fee through No Demand Drafts/ Cheques/Cash will not be accepted at the reporting centre so candidates must pay the fee in advance within  the scheduled time for the same. Moreover, the candidates are supposed to produce the Proof (i.e.  Print out / SMS / Email) of online payment of initial fee on reporting at the centre.  Those candidates who made the fee payment will not be considered for further rounds of JEE Main 2014 seat allotment, except for the Spot Round for which the candidates will have to register afresh within the specified time. Candidates willing to withdraw from the JEE Main 2014 Seat Allotment process can anytime report at the reporting center and can therefore apply for refund of the initial fee. Candidate who fails to report at the centre within the designated time lwill lose his/her claim on the seat and will not be considered for further round of seat allotment. Requests for withdrawal of seat and refund of fee will be entertained only during the designated period and Rs. 1000 will be deducted as processing fees from the initial fee and remaining fee will be refunded 

While reporting at the Reporting Center, all of the candidates are expected to produce the below listed documents: 

a) Mark sheet and Certificates in original 
b) Printout of locked choices (self attested )
c) Provisional allotment letter (Printed copy)
d) Proof (Print out / SMS / Email) of online payment of initial fee

On successful verification of required documents, online fee payment etc, candidates will issued a provisional admission letter.  

Candidates will be allowed to express their willingness to participate in further rounds of JEE Main 2014 Seat allotment i.e Option I or may opt to accept the allotted seat and to be also considered for higher choices within the institute i.e Option II , or he is ready to accept the institute and branch allotted to them i.e Option III. Opting Option I and Option II will make candidates forfeit his /her claim on seat allotted to him/her in earlier rounds, if he/she will be allotted a different seats in the subsequent rounds of seat allotment.

Spot Round of JEE Main 2014 Seat Allotment

The result of Spot round of JEE Main 2014 Seat Allotment will be announced on  8th August , 2014 
The spot round consists of allotment of seat with respect to the remaining vacant seats that may arise due to the withdrawal of seat  by candidates in NITs / IIITs and other GFTIs and the seats offered by SFTIs (Self Financed Technical Institutes). Candidates eligible for Spot Round are those who were allotted seat did not take admission in the allotted  institute up to 4th round OR those candidates who did not register earlier  OR those candidates who withdrew after taking admission in the allotted institute will also be allowed to participate in the Spot Round. Those candidates who have taken  final admission in the allotted institute will not be permitted to participate in the spot round.
