The Andaman and Nicobar islands are situated in the Bay of Bengal at a distance of 1100km from the port of Kolkata. The capital is Port Blair and Andaman Islands are a union territory of India. The best time to visit the Andaman Islands is from January to March. Avoid visiting these islands during the rainy season since there is a chance of cyclones and thunder storms.
