A recent study revealed that the United States is the largest Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) opportunity for India. However, significant opportunities are also provided by the country offices of Britain, Europe or Asia Pacific. The domestic market also offers huge potential for those BPO companies.

Outsourcing service in India is a service in demand and is growing day by day. These are catering mainly to western operations of multinational corporations. In India, around 2.8 million people work in sectors for outsourcing. The wages of employees in the BPO sector are rising by 10-15 percent because of skilled manpower shortage. A majority of European based and US based multinational companies use outsourcing services in order to support their financial operations. The back offices set up by the lead marketing offices in India for outsourcing purpose are expected to provide quality services such as processing insurance claims, managing payrolls, customer support and many others. It is seen that many business processing outsourcing offices hire large and skilled staffs though they may not meet the necessary language skills.

The services which are performed by the employees in outsourcing sectors vary. They may offer contract staffing or permanent. The candidates select temp staffing agencies which are reliable. The purpose is to hire a right person for a particular position for a temporary period so as to access talent and adjust the workforce based on the needs of the business. Based on the requirement, the company can increase or decrease these temp staffs. Some government or non-government organisations would like to work in partnership with these companies on projects for a short term period and they can hire temp staff. This allows the main organisations to eliminate time and minimise resources that require spending in human resources and other administrative work. Another advantage is the flexibility of hiring candidates based on business requirements whether it is meant for short or long duration.
