Going on a vacation can be both fun and relaxing, but a Jewish trip is far more than just going to different places, enjoy kosher food and have quality time.

News are making rounds after Alan Hoffman, the CEO and director-general of Jewish Agency express his worry that young American Jews have no more interest in Israel.

There are many factors as to why this is happening. Perhaps it’s due to political conflicts or differences in culture. In the United States, the great diversity of people living there make it very easy to embrace and lose yourself in other cultures. Today’s youth are very prone to this.

That is why Jewish communities are encouraging the younger generation to hold on to their beliefs and traditions.

Speaking of history, Jews have indeed the most colorful history dated way back to the biblical times. They’ve escaped the cruel hands of Pharaoh, survived the wilderness, and diasporas, among other things. 

Another significant part of Jewish history is the Holocaust, where thousands of Jews suffered in the hands of Nazis.

It is hard to imagine what they’ve gone through, and going on a Jewish tour by visiting heritage sites especially in Europe is one way of paying your respects to them. 

But we not only remember the dead, but celebrate the living as well. Because if they haven’t survived, you most likely won’t be reading this right now.
