·         Visualization: Drawing enables one to map their mental image of the world. This is important for various reason. Importantly, we can map out diagrams, plans, and concepts regarding what we want to bring into the world. Furthermore, we can also make images of how various system works. They also express their emotions through drawing and how they feel about things in their environment.

This helps in improving our problem-solving and decision-making skills. Peradventure, if what you are drawing isn’t going the way you wanted, all you need is to step back and make the decision on how to fix it.

·         Concentration: For the child, concentration is key. If you want your drawing to go the way you want it, being focused is paramount as it will differentiate between success and failure of the final outcome. Furthermore, the relationship between what you are drawing and you is very important.

·         Communication: Drawing is another way of communicating with people. It is a visual language of representation and symbols. It does not matter what you are drawing, it is a visual language worth expressing.
