Importance of Kailash – Manasarovar Yatra Darshan

Kailash - Manasarovar Yatra is an important and revered destination for several generations. Spanning from the ancient Puranas it has been a pilgrimage destination as the revered and the ancient home of Lord Shiva blessing those and whomever has managed to visit and pay a Darshan to the holy family of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.  It’s also considered as the center of the universe and the final destination for all souls worshiped for several generations and years and its overwhelming appearance has had a significant impact and transformation for many Yatris (pilgrims).
 
Although there are many ways one can access the divine in Hinduism like meditation or Darshan. Kailash – Manasarovar Yatra has impacted the lives of the Yatris in a very different way and many significant ways. Apart from the objective opportunity of performing the Parikarama at the holy place and dwelling of the holy family of Lord Shiva and the goddess Parvati with Lord Ganesh and Kartikeya. The reverential setting of sublime supreme bliss lays the powerful introspective force that many Yatris feel obliged to just pay their respects and be set free from all their sins in the present lifetime. Kailash Manasarovar has also a resonant chord for all the major religions in the Himalayas like Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and the Bon Pas. It’s the ancient act of showing ones devotion and benevolence to mighty deity and divine.

Parikarama – In most Hindu spiritual devotions the act of circumambulating the sacred site or ritual binds one with eternity of its blessings and therefore the Kailash Parikarama is considered to cleanse one from the present and next lifetime sins. Though arduous and demanding devotees embark on it in a clockwise manner to show their total devotion and commitment to the Lord Shiva. Many devotees reckon a transformed perspective and richer experience of being in the overwhelming presence of the holy mountain.

Lake Manasarovar – the revered and crisp waters this lake are believed to wash ones with one magical bath in its cold waters. Even as mythology states that the Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati have taken bath in it. This elevates the cleansing waters of the place and the Mountain Kailash to a higher spiritual level.
