How to write newsletters

by Carlos Clemente Logistic
(First... A brief Council when we send a message to many friends
Many times when something important happens (a virus, ... ) people often take their full mailing list and send an email to 'everyone'... This sometimes generates that someone from the list copy all directions and is devoted to make spam ...
To avoid this, simply copy your mailing list in your email marketing service

1. The conclusions at the beginning:

As always. Seeks to say what is interesting in the first paragraph. Leave the rest for the final.
Now let's look at the parts of an e-mail:
Who sends the mail. If you use an alias to send the mail to ensure that you can identify and respond to the same alias.
In the subject seeks to say the subject of the mail in a clear and simple way. Something like 'Updating the site', 'January sales', ...
The first paragraph should say it all in a clear and simple way. Including the links to the pages that are referenced.
I'm not a supporter of the summary in the newsletters. The only thing it does is take up space and subtract time to read the main theme. Better to put the main theme and if you want to include more topics, consult below clearly indicating that these are secondary items that may be of interest to the user.
Finally includes the typical 'delete subscription', 'unsubscribe' and include a link to your site.

2. The good thing if brief twice good.

In case of the mail more. The reading of the mail is not slightly relaxing, rather the people are usually slightly 'tense', therefore when earlier they read the topic earlier they will relax and keep on reading. If we begin the mail saying things as, 'You have just received an offer that you will not be able to push back...' the only thing that we will obtain it is that they  it to the garbage. Better to start with things of the style 'Reductions of 40 % in ...' and then we can keep on describing of that this promotion goes so that the user finds out well about the topic before clicking. But try to reduce to the maximum what you have to say.

3. Do not abuse the HTML

When is good to use the html in the mail:
To include long links that may be cut off in the mail.
To include fonts, color and tables that help to read the mail.
When it is wrong to include html in the mail:

To send full web pages for the mail. Usually weigh much and take too much space. Keep in mind that the window of mail is usually smaller than the browser.
To include images in the mail. It is best to say that you have images on your site and a link to this photo.

4. As minimum once a month. As maximum once a week.

It is convenient to send a welcome mail whenever someone registers in your service. This will confirm that the system works and that we are in the list.
As minimum once a month. It is advisable to send a newsletter a month. At least so that the people know that you are still alive and that the thing continues in march. If it spends a lot of time between a newsletter and other one the people can forget you and not to recognize the next time after you that the scribes.
As maximum once a week. It is not also convenient to abuse the users and more than once a week it can be considered to be 'Spam'. Anyhow try to send by mail only those excellent events that happen in your site. If nothing happens you do not have why to send anything. A mail that has no value will go straight to the garbage and it can do that the user block the origin mail address.
