How to use a curling wand/Curling Iron

by Ice Diamond Ice Diamond Marketing Consultant
Today we are going to tell you How To Curl Your Hair with a curling wand
Whether you want to create a wavy effect or luscious ringlet curls,  follow this simple step by step guide for fantastic, effortless results!

1. Make sure your hair is clean; wash it if you need to. Make sure your hair is totally dry before applying the curling wand.Brush your hair to rid it of knots.

2. Plug your curling wand into a power socket.  Press the power button on the wand to let it heat up. You can choose the exact  heat setting your hair requires on the Ice Diamond curling wand 80-230C.  Higher heat will be required for thicker hair types.

3. The Ice Diamond curling wand comes with gloves. A glove will protect your hand from burning when you are holding your hair on the wand.
It is worn on the hand that is not holding the curler. It is advised that you use your dominant hand to hold the wand and glove on the other
hand that will be used to wrap your hair around the wand.

4. Separate your hair into six parts. First, divide your hair evenly into top and bottom layers. Then divide those layers into three parts each:
the back of your head, and the two sides. Apply a ponytail holder and clips to make six small ponytails. Clip all three of the top layers to the
top of your head and clip the two bottom side layers to the top as well. You should only have the lower back of the head section loose.
Take out any clips or ponytail holders in this section.

5. Hold the wand in your dominant hand by the handle part. Hold it at a downward angle; a common mistake people make is to hold it upwards.

6. Wrap the hair around the wand. Start from the roots and wrap from the base of the wand and work your way to the tip of the hair.
For loose curls, don't wrap the hair too tightly. Don't wrap all the hair around the wand; leave a small bit out in order to prevent the curl springing
up strangely after you're done curling.

7. Hold the hair in place using your hand for roughly 10 seconds. Do not hold the hair on the wand for too long, ceramic wands get very hot!

8. Slide the curling wand out of your hair, making sure you have the curl in your hand. Don't just unravel the hair to free it. You may find it useful
to hold the curl in your hand to help it set.

9. Repeat curling for the other sections of your hair. You may find it difficult to curl the hair at the back of your head; look carefully in the mirror.

10. After you've finished curling all of your hair, use your hands to gently move the hair around - this will give your hair a more natural look.

11. Remember to turn off your curling wand after you've finished.
