How to Turn Off Autocorrect on Windows and Mac

If you are fed up with the autocorrect feature, then read this guide to find out the steps for turning it off. The process for disabling autocorrect differs slightly in Windows and Mac systems. Depending on the operating you choose, follow the steps carefully and turn off autocorrect.
Method 1. On Windows OS
1. Launch Start. From the below-left corner of the screen. Hit the Windows logo.
2. Launch Setting. From the below-left side of the Start list, hit the gear-shaped icon. This will launch the Setting window.
3. Hit Devices. The user can locate it in the middle of the Setting window.
4. Hit the Typing button. The user can find this option on the left side of the Device window.
5. Search the “Autocorrect misspelled words” heading. The user can find it at the top of the window.
6. Hit the “On” toggle. It is just at the bottom of “Autocorrect misspelled words” heading. It helps to turn off. It indicates that autocorrect isn’t active on the PC.
Method 2. On Mac
1. Launch the Apple list. From the top-left corner of the screen Hit the Apple logo. A pull-down list will display.
2. Hit System Preferences. At the drop-down list, this option is available. By Selecting it, System Preferences window gets open.
3. Hit Keyboard. It is available in the System Preferences window. It will open up the Keyboard window.
4. Hit the Text button. The user can see it at the top of the Keyboard window.
5. Uncheck the “Correct spelling automatically” box. The user can find it at the top-right corner of the operating system. It will turn off autocorrect for computer users.
