How to take care of your skin during the summer?

by Abhinav G. Movie Enthusiast

Summer is the season that can be very brutal and trying for your skin. As the blazing heat sores, the temperature makes your oil glands hyperactive and make them secrete more than usual. This usually results in rashes, itchiness, and your skin may also show signs of premature aging. In the recent environmental conditions, our skin is exposed to pollution, which takes away your skin’s radiance, making it look dull, oily, and filled with blemishes, acne, and pimples. To get a radiant look this summer try following these tips,

Use idle face wash for your skin:

It is very important to cleanse your face regularly, as the hot climate may tend to make your skin oily. When the oil gets clogged in the skin pores, it may lead to acne. Thus try using a face wash with salicylic acid. In another case, your skin may tend to get dry easily, resulting in redness and rashes. In such cases use a gel-based facewash.

Exfoliate your skin:

During summer, make sure your skin breathes to keep it healthy and glowing. Exfoliate the dead skin cells using a homemade scrubs to heal any damage to the skin

Wear sunscreen while going out:

During summer make sure to wear sunscreen to protect your skin against UV rays which may cause permanent damage to your skin. Make sure to apply it twice a day to prevent sunburns, wrinkles, and fine line.

Consume food rich in antioxidants:

To maintain a healthy and radiant looking skin, one must eat healthily. Seasonal food such as pineapple, watermelon, berries, and dry nuts is the best vitamin and antioxidant-rich supplement you can have. Antioxidants have an anti-aging property and can boost collagen production, reduce inflammation, and give you natural protection against skin damage.

Keep yourself hydrated:

Drinking water is very important. Drinking water helps in regulating the body temperature and keeps your skin hydrated. It also detoxifies your skin and prevents dryness.

Minimal makeup is idealistic:

Since the weather is hot and humid makeup may block the pores of the skin. Thus the skin retains any waste it wishes to remove through sweat. It is advisable to go with a moisturizer with SPF which is non greasy and lightweight and a lip balm with SPF, so that retains the moisture of the skin. Heavy eye makeup should be avoided.
