Recently, Google rolled out a new feature on its Google app to keep track of the price of items that you wish to buy. Google always keeps bringing new features, again and again, to never be out of the competition.

Google shopping

Google Shopping is like any other section on Google when you search anything on Google it gives you a variety of options to get you the perfect and desired results. The basic search filters help you find your thing in the easiest possible way, like if you wish to find an image/video of something you need not look at various websites. Just search with keywords and click on the Image section.

Talking about shopping, it is a new but very cool search filter offered by Google. Now with the help of this filter, you don't have to visit different shopping sites like Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal to search for the best deal. What you need to do is- just search for the item you wish to buy and click on the shopping section. Clicking shopping, Google will bring to all the products that match your keywords from almost all the shopping sites. Scroll through the products and as soon as you find the best deal, click that product, and Google will redirect you to the respective site and you can easily find full details and make a purchase.

Price alert on Google Shopping

Google came up with a new feature in its shopping section where you can set price alerts for your favorite article and the items you wish to buy. A large fraction of people are not yet aware of this feature and if they are they don't know how to use it.

The feature of setting the price alerts is particularly good if you were searching for the best price. This becomes even more relevant in the case of items whose prices change more frequently. Using this feature you can track the price of the item you wish to buy. Moreover, Google will send you a mobile notification whenever the price drops to let you informed of the changes in price and give you the best possible deal. You are just a button away to set a notification alert for the item you wish to purchase.

Steps to set up a price alert

1.      Open the browser and go to Google on your phone

2.      Search the keywords of the item you want to set the price alert for. For the sake of example, let us find the Milton Water bottle

3.      Tap on the shopping tab, and Google will show you the best search results

4.      Scroll through the search results and find the product you wish to buy, Google also provide you short and necessary details about the product

5.      As you scroll the page you will see an option TRACK PRICE with a blue logo on the side

6.      You have the desired product selected, now just touch and turn on the button against the Track Price option and you are done setting a price track

As you have turned on the price track, you are tracking the price of the item, and as soon as the price of the product drops Google will notify you. Google will send you an email daily with the price status of the product, with details of the change in price in the last 24 hours.

You can stop the price track in Google shopping at any moment of time. Just visit the My Activity Page in Google and delete the history of the price track of the product. Also, you see all the price tracks you have chose.
