by Nitesh Prasad SEO Expert | SEO Freelancer1.
Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Be confident in whatever you
speak. People can correct you only when they hear your mistakes.
2.
Indulge yourself in an English speaking environment where you can
learn passively. Active learning through books is one of the tools of learning
but not the only. The best and the most effective tool is to learn through
speaking.
3.
Continuous practice is a must for learning spoken English. You
should make yourself a time table wherein you should decide how much time a
week you are going to spend studying and you must follow it diligently.
Establishing a routine and following it is a crucial element.
4.
Tip 2 and tip 4 are correlative wherein you have to tell your
family and friends about your time table. Get them to push you to study and
also don’t let them interrupt you. Ask them to converse with you in English (or
at least as much correct English as they can speak). By doing so you will be
able to create an English speaking environment,
5.
Next tip is to practice the 4 core skills of English language,
i.e., “reading, writing, speaking and
listening”. They all need to be practiced continuously for you to improve
your spoken English.
6.
Keep a notebook of new words you learn. Make a glossary of
vocabulary in it. In the said glossary add one column under which a situation
is mentioned in which a particular word can be used. Use them in sentences and
try to say them at least 3 times when you speak. PTE Coaching in Gurgaon
7.
Do a lesson at least once a day. The said lesson should include
all four core elements of English language, i.e., “reading, writing, speaking and listening”.
8.
Memorization of the glossary you have made is one of the most
common ways of learning vocabulary for a test It’s only a good exercise for
short term studying because you often do not retain the information that you
have learned for a test.
9.
Make a time table as per your daily routine. If you are not an
early morning riser then there is no point allotting morning time to study.
Instead make a time table that you can practically and comfortably follow.
10. You
will find words easier to remember if you try to remember an example or
situation sentence using that word rather the word itself.
11. Plan to
take a self-assessment test and set goal for the same. You’ll find that you work
harder when you need to study for some goal to achieve.
12.
Saying that, it’s better not to study just to take a test. Think of the bigger picture.
What can you do when you have a good command of English? How will the quality
of your life improve? How much you will excel on the spectrum of life?
13. Set yourself
a long term goal. Focus towards achieving the same.
14. Set
yourself short term goals also and do reward yourself when you achieve each one
of them.
15. Create
an environment in which you want to learn and not because you have to. You’ll
learn more when you’re learning because you want to. Interest is the key not
the compulsion.
16. Identify
what suits you. Think about what methods of learning have been successful for you in the past and
stick with them.
17. Figure
out how you learn. It can be by memorising, reading, speaking, summarising
or other methods. Find out how you study best. It can be in a quiet place by
yourself or with a group.
18. Get
help! If you don’t understand something you’ve got to ask someone. Ask your
teacher, classmates or friends for help. Kill your hesitation. It is only when
you overcome your hesitation that you will learn.
19.
Review! Review! Review! Take time
out to review the things you have studied in the past. In fact you should allot
some time for revision in the time table that you make.
20. Studying for a long stretch of time never yields good results. Take regular breaks, get some fresh air and stretch your legs. After all mind also registers only limited information at a time. How to Get Canada PR Visa?
