How to Set Up and Use Your Kindle Paperwhite

Get Your Kindle Tablet Online

Plugin the Paperwhite tablet and let the battery completely charged. If you’re ready, press and hold the Power key at the bottom and let it power on. Within a second, you’ll see the start of the setup process. Choose your language and then give the Kindle another moment to load up. If you notice the screen flash, don’t bother — that’s a natural part of technology refreshing.

Touch on the screen after you see the Kindle welcome message. First, you’ll require to get your Kindle tablet connected to your home Wi-Fi. Tap Connect to Wi-Fi and your Kindle should search your local network name. Tap it, then use the keyboard to enter your Wi-Fi password.

Now that your Kindle tablet is online, you want to connect it with an Amazon account. Considering you have one, tap Use a current Amazon account. If you don’t have, tap Create a new Amazon account and follow the steps. Type your Amazon account email and password, then tap Register.  If you notice a mistake, make sure you typed email correctly, as it’s easy to make an error.

Once everything clears with your Amazon account, you’ll see a Hello message with a proposal to change the time. If you’re in the U.S. this will apparently be set to Pacific Time by default, so tap the here prompt and set the correct time for your area. Now tap Continue setup.

You’re nearly there! Kindle Paperwhite will ask you to connect your Facebook and Twitter accounts to your Amazon account. This lets you share wishlists, reviews, and more. If you don’t want to do this, tap Connect Later — it’s not required.
