How to recover my Gmail password with a verification code

Gmail is the electronic mail service that is owned and developed by Google. It is the unique email that is no only used to send, receive, or store the emails but also used to create presentations, documents and maintain records. With all its unique features, Gmail has also introduced many ways to recover the Gmail password if in case you forget it. Here in this article, we will study how to recover Gmail password with the verification code.

Method 1: Using Mobile Number Verification Code

  • Open your web browser go to Gmail.

  • Once the https //g.co/recover for help is opened enter your username and proceed further.

  • Google will now ask you the password to log into the account and since you do not remember your password you can click “Forgot Password”.

  • Gmail will take you to the Google password reset help page so that you can recover the password.

  • Gmail will now ask to send the verification code to the linked mobile number.

  • Click on “Send Code” and wait for the code to arrive as SMS.

  • Check your mobile and enter the verification code in the space provided on the screen and proceed further.

  • Gmail will now ask you to enter a new password that is strong enough and easy for you to remember.

  • Reconfirm the password and press “Ok”.

You can try to log into the account and you will be able to recover your Gmail account.

Method 2: Using Email Verification Code.

  • Open your web browser and go to Gmail from the search box at top of the page.

  • Gmail homepage opens up and asks for the username to continue. Enter the username and click “Continue” to proceed further.

  • Gmail will now ask you to enter the password. Click on “Forgot the password”.

  • Gmail will redirect you to the Gmail account recovery page.

  • Gmail will ask you to send the verification code to a linked number. Click on “Try another Method”.

  • Gmail will ask you to send the verification code to recovery email address. Click on “Send Code”.

  • Gmail will send the code to the recovery email. Log into the recovery email account and check the code you received.

  • Enter the code in the space provided and proceed to enter the new and strong password.

  • Your password will be reset and you would be able to recover your account.
