How to Increase Job Satisfaction

Have you ever experienced the feeling of job dissatisfaction and a strong desire to quit? Probably you are one of those office workers, who can't leave the current workplace and feel stress and depression because of what they are doing. Do you want to know what factors can make us more satisfied with the job we have right now?

The Working Place

It is a popular practice by the employers to provide with the free coffee at the office, free snacks etc. However, not all the firms care about more essential things. As the statistics say, more than a half of the employees are not satisfied with their current workplace. 

Usually, the problems vary from company to company, starting from the uncomfortable seats to the lack of sunlight. According to the online resume service ResumArea some former employers indicated a restricted internet use as a reason to start searching for the new workplace. However, only a few are ready to change the job and re-start the career at another company. 

Sure, you can quit because of the company's policy to ban the mobile phones, but it is sometimes better to talk to the boss first. Try to explain what and why you need it and ask for a compromise, you might say that better working conditions will make you more productive.

The Awards and Other Encouragements

We all love presents. So, it would have been a double pleasure to get a present from your boss for simply doing what you have to do. Those people, who get the presents from the company, are usually working harder. It is not a secret that employees like things such as the awards for the achievements in the work. If someone has done his part of the project a couple days before the deadline, it is great to give him some kind of prize, like a paid vacation for a couple days or a little increase of the salary.

Skills Development

The workers are usually doing almost the same jobs from day to day. That, for sure, makes nobody happy. So the boss has to take an initiative and make sure to organize different kinds of events. For example, a showcase of the projects between departments, various meetings, etc. 

The greatest thing that will benefit both you and people working for you are the courses. They will allow people to talk to other professionals in their fields, bringing each other new ideas. The head of the company will also get something from those courses since the employees will get a chance to improve their skills.

Therefore, the quality of the work that is done will increase dramatically. Yet, some people will not take that seriously, but the managers should not get too upset since not everybody is interested in learning something new if their job is just a routine for them.

The Involvement

For sure, the boss or the head of the department has to be involved in the company life and know the latest news as well as his workers' birthdays. It will help improve wellbeing in the workplace and better mutual understanding.
