How to Get My E-Cigarette to Produce Vapor

Electronic cigarettes were originally designed as a smoking cessation aid. While they have not been proven to help users stop smoking, they have become a popular tool in circumventing smoking bans. E-cigarettes do not contain tobacco or produce smoke, but do produce water vapor. Some e-cigarette users like the vapor as it increases the e-cigarette's similarity with traditional cigarettes.

Instructions

1
Use a fully charged electronic cigarette battery. A fully charged battery will supply ample power to the atomizer, the part of the unit that makes the vapor. When you're not smoking, put the battery on a charger or in a charging pack, a travel charger designed to look like a cigarette package that holds and charges multiple e-cigarette batteries.

2
Use a full e-cigarette cartridge. E-liquid, or e-juice, is the liquid used by the atomizer to make vapor. Refill or change out the cartridge to ensure an ample supply of liquid to vaporize. Liquids and cartridges are available in many flavors, but check the cartridge's compatibility with the e-cigarette.

3
Plug all but one air hole on the body of the e-cigarette with clear tape. Air enters the atomizer from small pinholes along the outside of the e-cigarette casing. Locate these pinholes and cover all but one one to minimize the airflow into the cigarette. This will make drawing on the cigarette harder but will increase the production of vapor.

Tips & Warnings
E-liquid mixtures use either propylene or vegetable glycerin as a base. Many e-cigarette users consider vegetable glycerin-based e-liquids better vapor producers than propylene glycerin-based liquids.

Electronic cigarettes have not been approved by the FDA as smoking cessation aids. While they do not contain tobacco, there have been no long-term studies on the impact e-cigarettes have on health.
