How to get a refund from Emirates Airlines easily?

• To get a refund on a ticket for which you have already paid but not used, you can use the link in Manage a booking, depending on the type of ticket you have booked at the time of reservation.

• If this link is not available, you can request a refund using our online refund request form.

• If your ticket was bought online, the refund can only be credited to the card used to make the purchase. Refunds are issued in accordance with fare conditions.

• You should also know that some tickets are non‑refundable once you’ve started your trip. Tickets that permit a refund when partially unused may only have a small amount that would be refunded, depending on the flights flown, and the applicable fare for those flights flown, in addition to any fees.

Note: As the amount refunded to you might not be proportional to the number of flights flown on the ticket, or the distance travelled, you may wish to consider changing your booking instead.

Emirates Cancellation Procedure

• If you booked via any airline portal, you can cancel Emirates flight online on the ‘Manage My Booking’ section. All you need is six digits booking reference and the last name of the passenger. 

• For the Skywards member with Emirates Airlines, all you need is to log in with your credentials on the Emirates website https://www.emirates.com/ to cancel your existing reservation.

• Once you cancelled your Emirates flight reservation, the cancellation confirmation email would be sent on your email at the time you provided while making your reservation. 

• The refund as per the Emirates Airlines policy would be at least 7-10 business days to be returned to your original form of payment. 

Emirates Refund Policy

• On successful cancellation, the passenger will receive a refund in seven business days in the same debit or credit card used to purchase tickets.

• Passenger can also select the preferable mode of payment to receive back their refund on the refund form.

• Passengers can also get a refund for non-refundable tickets in case of involuntary changes like death or serious illness of passenger etc. however certain documents need to be submitted.

• Passengers can also get a refund from Emirates Airlines for an unused ticket. However, for such tickets, only a small amount depending on the flight and fare rules will be refunded. Also, an additional fee may apply.
