8.      Hit the “Clear Data” button.

For Computer Users:

1.      Play a YouTube video and then right-click on the video player. 

2.      Choose the stats for nerds option from the given options. 

3.      Now you will see a popup on your screen. There you will be able to see all the details about your connection speed.

For Smartphone Users:

1.      Go to the account picture on the upper-right corner. 

2.      If you are an iPhone user, then choose Settings and then “Enable stats for nerds” option. 

3.      If you are using an Android phone, then select the Settings and then General. After that, tap on the “Enable stats for nerds” option.

4.      Now play any video that you want as you usually do. Then click on Three vertical dots. 

5.      Hit the “Stats for nerds” options. Now the stats of your connection will be displayed on your device, and you can move it anywhere by dragging your finger on it. 

Troubleshooting Slow YouTube with Stats for Nerds Information

Once you get the details about your connection speed, you should ensure that you are choosing the optimized video quality according to your connection speed. 

For instance, if you are using 720p resolution, then your internet speed must be at least more than 2.5 MBPS. If your speed is slow, then switch to a lower video quality such as 480p.
