Verizon Wear24 is a smart watch offered by Verizon that comes with many features and excellent functionality. It comes equipped with several features and supports 4G LTE. However, it lacks many important features including heart rate sensor.



Moreover, this watch has a waterproof body, colorful display and runs on Android operating system. Further, it comes with an elegant design and offers a lightweight design. When you first buy a Verizon Wear24 watch, you are required to activate it in order to start with the gadget.

Since it runs on Android, you need to activate it and after this you can enjoy all apps and features of this watch. However, many users face trouble while activating their watch for the first time. Steps to fix activation issue with Verizon Wear24

Make sure that your Wi-Fi is turned off

Follow below steps to turn off your Wi-Fi:

  • Simply press the Power button from the Home screen, menu will appear. You can find the Power button on right edge.
  • Now tap on Settings .
  • Next, tap on Connectivity .
  • Find and tap on Wi-Fi .
  • Now tap accordingly to turn on or off Wi-Fi. If you see a blue dot it means its turned on.

Find the problem location

  • Make sure to choose map layer as 4G LTE and GSM/UMTS.
  • You can use Verizon map to check coverage. To ascertain the coverage, simply go to Verizon Wireless Coverage Locator.

Initial setup and activation

To activate your Verizon Wear24 watch you need to pair it with a supported smartphone. After completing the initial pairing if want to use the watch as a single device, you need to have its own phone number. And it is also required to be provided with respective 'Connected Devices with Voice' SFO. You can refer to Verizon's Codes/Pricing.

You need the following things to follow the activation steps here:

  • Make sure that your device is having Android operating system 4.3 (or above) or iOS 9 (or above).
  • To check whether your phone is supported, go to Android Wear website.
  • Make sure that the Bluetooth of your smartphone is turned on.
  • Make sure that Android Wear application is installed and updated on your phone.

Note: Make sure that you keep your watch near the smartphone during the activation process.


Steps for pairing the watch with smartphone:

  • First of all, tap on the screen to start.
  • Now, choose the preferred language.
  • Then, tap on Check mark icon  to continue and accept the Verizon Privacy Policy. By using the web address (URL), you can go to the website on your companion smartphone or a PC to review the policy. 
  • To show the device name/code, simply swipe up.


Follow the below instructions to complete pairing on the companion smartphone:

A few steps may vary according to the mobile devices you have and its version:

  • First, you need to launch Android Wear app on your phone.
  • Next, tap on SET IT UP option to start.
  • Now, read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service and to continue, tap on AGREE (found on lower-right).
  • If you are asked to enable the location, tap on TURN ON and choose ALLOW.
  • Now, if it asks for Bluetooth sharing, tap on ENABLE and choose OK.
  • Next, choose the correct watch name. If required, you can also check the watch screen to ensure to choose the correct watch.
  • If you can't see your watch, tap on Refresh icon  and try again.
  • As soon as you get a prompt, tap on Pair or OK option. If it's required, see the watch screen to make sure that you choose correct code, and tap CONFIRM. Wait for a few minutes to complete the pairing.

Follow all the below steps on your smartphone to complete initial setup:

The following steps may differ depending on the mobile you are using and its software version.

  • If you see a screen with Google account(s), make sure that desired account is enabled, then tap on the NEXT button.
  • Now, if you get a prompt, tap on the COPY tab for sending information to the watch.
  • Provide password for every account.
  • Now, when you see Stay connected to Wi-Fi screen, tap on CONNECT (found on the lower-right section).
  • If any further instructions appear on the screen, complete all these steps (for instance Peek at your schedule, chat with your friends, etc.) by choosing appropriate option(s).
  • Now, tap on DONE (at lower-right) tab available on the You're all set screen.

After this, if Get Connected screen appears on your watch, you need to Activate Data Service. You can get information on it on Verizon's website.


When you get a prompt to set up calling on the watch, follow the below steps:

  • Tap on Not now to utilize your watch as an accessory.
  • Then, read the article to set up calling feature on your watch.
