How to Edit Sony PXW-X200 footage in Premiere Pro (CC)

I’m using Sony PXW-X200. Happy experience and I shot XAVC videos with it. What I want is to make a feature film with these recordings. Adobe is the utility I have. So, is there an easy way that allows easy import XAVC files from Sony PXW-X200 into Adobe Premiere Pro directly, without having to use or open Sony’s lousy Content Browser or other complex plug-ins. After searching high and low, I find a simple Sony PXW-X200 XAVC to Premiere Pro workflow.

As I mentioned above, the PXW-X200 uses XAVC recording format. At present no matter XVAC-I and XAVC-L do not appear to be supported by most Non-Linear Editing programs. When you import XAVC footage to Premiere Pro, you may be troubled by the incompatibility issue. How to Convert Sony PXW-X200 XAVC footage for Adobe Premiere Pro

Step 1: Install and launch the Mac XAVC converter and load the recordings to it. If you want to merge several clips, just need to check the "Merge into one" box.

Step 2: Click “Format” pull down list to select Adobe Premiere/Sony Vegas> MPEG-2(*.mpg) as the best video format for Premiere Pro. WMV, MOV formats are the good choice as well. You can click Settings to adjust video and audio parameters to get the best quality video.

Step 3: Click the “Convert” icon under the preview window, and the Mac video converter will start converting Sony PXW-X200 XAVC to Adobe Premiere Pro on Mac.
