How to Decorate a Coffee Table

Decorating a coffee table is a chance to express your creativity and to offer a nice display in your living room. A good mix of different items is the key to a successful coffee table.

Keep in mind though that it should also be functional: don't overcrowd your table with lots and lots of objects or the final result will disappoint you. Take into account the size of the table and put together the right amount of objects to keep it tidy.

What should you add to the table? First of all, books and flowers are always nice. You could use your favourite novels as a pedestal to display other objects on a higher position. Pick the kind of flowers you like the most.

Why not having something unique and extravagant? Do not exaggerate, but something unusual is always good on a coffee table. Examples:

Cool statue
Handmade chess board
Fluorescent lamp

Try do design the display in a way that is functional and appealing. Remember not to have things that look totally different according to the angle (e.g. picture frames)
