How to Create a Spa-Like Feel in Your Bathroom?

by Sarah B. Marketing Writer | Thinker | Environmentalist

Bathrooms are no more that area of a home that you would use for nature’s call and showering. They have not become a parameter of your “luxury lifestyle and status”.

Your visitors and guests develop your image based on how stylish your bathroom is. That said, it makes perfect sense to spruce up your bathroom to have a high-end appeal and uplevel functionality.

How about having your own spa in your home, in your bathroom?

If you are planning to build a new bathroom or considering a remodel, you can think of giving your bathroom a serene, relaxing spa-like feel and appeal too. And it is easier than you think.

Here are a few tips to add a spa-ctacular flavor in your bathroom –

Use Light Color Tiles to Splash a Relaxing, Calm Backdrop

The typical spa atmosphere is relaxing, comforting, elegant, and cozy. There is no point having bold, vibrant colors on walls, floors, and ceiling.

So, pick light color tiles (such as cream, beige, light brown, etc.) to enable a cool, calm, cozy feel.

In addition, avoid using colors in contrasting pairs. For example: black and white.

Create Multiple Usable Spaces to Hide the Mess

Oftentimes, there is so much mess in a residential bathroom. If you want to create a spa-like appeal in your bath, you will need to actually make it look like a spa.

Keep unwanted, unnecessary things out of sight, such as shampoo bottle, soap case, cleaning supplies and accessories, oils, and creams. Work with your designer to design storage cabinets.

Include Vanity as per the Theme

Invest in a vanity (preferably) with cabinets for enhanced feel. Make sure it fits well in the theme of your bathroom.

Reflective Walls, Backsplash, and Counter

Bring in a dose of freshness by building walls, backsplash, and counter with shiny and reflective material.

Apart from these, use effective ventilation, cooling, and heating systems to create a real-like spa environment in your home.
