Steps to Clear Cache on Fire TV Devices

There is no direct way for completely removing cache of the Fire TV devices. So, to clear the cache of your Fire TV devices you’ve to clear cache from every individual app.

Here is how to clear the cache on Fire TV devices.

1.    Go to Fire TV home menu. You’ve to press the ‘Home’ button to do this.

2.    Go to the ‘Settings’ menu.

3.    Go to ‘Applications’ settings from the Settings screen.

4.    Go to ‘Manage installed Applications’ from the options. When you click on this option, a  list of installed applications on your device will appear on the screen.

5.    Use ‘Up and Down’ button of your remote to move up and down.

6.    Select an ‘App’ from the installed applications list to clear its cache.

7.    Select ‘Clear cache’ from the next options. More details about the apps including Version, Size, Storage, and Cache size will appear on the right side of your TV screen.

8.    Click the ‘Back’ button of your remote to return applications list.

9.    Select other ‘App’ to clear its cache.

10.    And repeat the process for all other apps you want to clear cache.

If any app of your Fire device stops working correctly, runs slow, or not run as the earlier, then clearing the cache of that apps will also help in resolving the issue. You can even clear cookies and data to fix the problem.

Method to free up space on Fire TV and Devices

Clearing Cache from your Fire TV devices is not sufficient to free up enough space. There are more things you can do to make some space on your Fire TV devices. You can also clear unnecessary data and uninstall the unused app to create some space on your Fire TV devices.

Here is how to clear data and uninstall an app from Fire TV devices to free up space.

To check storage of your Fire TV:

1.    Go to Fire TV home menu. You’ve to press the ‘Home’ button to do this.

2.    Go to the ‘Settings’ menu.

3.    Select ‘My Fire TV/Device/System.’

4.    Go to ‘About.’

5.    Select ‘Storage.’ Here you can view free storage of your Fire TV as well as how much space is used.

If the storage of your Fire TV or devices is really running out, then you can clear cache or data of some apps and also delete some unused apps.

To clear data and remove the app from your Fire TV:

1.    Go to Fire TV home menu. You’ve to press the ‘Home’ button to do this.
