How To Choose The Right AC For Your Home

by Rudra S. Consultant
Due to the recent advancements in technology, consumer products have become comfier and more effective. Take example of air conditioners that have become an essential part of every home these days. The advent of inverter air conditioning technology has not made air conditioners more effective but power saving too. In addition, the availability of various offers and deals have made 1 ton AC price in BD quite affordable. The buyers can now easily choose a 1 ton non inverter split AC of their choice and pay the amount in easy installments.

If you are looking to buy an AC for your home, you can look at the following factors to make the best choice.

1. AC Type
You can easily find out how to choose an air conditioner for your home given your specific needs, your home design, and most importantly the budget. There are mainly three types of air conditioners to choose from: window AC, split AC, and portable AC. A window AC is installed as a unified unit to a window. On the other hand, a split air conditioner is made up of two units: the compressor and condenser that is placed outside your home whereas the blower unit is installed inside the room. You may transfer a portable air conditioner from one room to another since it is not fixed to one spot. If you reside in a flat, this may be a better choice.

2. Cooling Capacity
BTUs (British Thermal Units) refers to the units that are meant to measure the cooling capability of any residential air conditioning unit of any type. Put simply, it refers to the amount of heat an air conditioner can eliminate from a room in a certain amount of time. Any AC's cooling capability is found to be directly inversely proportional to this unit. It is crucial to choose an AC with the right BTUs to get the optimum cooling. If the BTU capacity is undervalued, the chosen AC will not be able to effectively cool the room. There will be an improper balance of cooling and humidity if the BTU capacity of an AC is too high.

3. Energy Efficiency
It has become even more crucial to get an energy-efficient AC in today’s times when electricity prices are skyrocketing. The BEE (Bureau of Energy Efficiency) has assigned standardised Energy Efficiency Ratings as stars in order to make it easier for households to determine how perfectly an AC is at using electricity. The highest grade, five stars, refers to that using a 5 Star AC would significantly bring down your power costs. So, be sure to get an AC that has at least 3 stars and preferably.

4. Inverter Technology
The next thing to consider is inverter technology which has become immensely popular these days. Be it energy efficiency, durability, or cooling capacity, a 1 ton inverter AC would always perform better than 1 ton non-inverter split AC. However, this may not be a perfect choice for every person looking to buy an AC. An inverter AC comes with a variable speed compressor motor which results in better performance and cost saving whereas a non-inverter AC has a fixed speed compressor motor which repeatedly turns on and off, resulting in more cost.

The Conclusion
No matter which AC you choose, the focus should always on getting the one that matches perfect with your room size, budget, and cooling requirement. This way, you can expect to get better results in terms of cost savings, great cooling, and lesser maintenance down the line.
