How to Check NEET Result 2017

Cutoff Marks in Result of NEET 2017
The minimum qualifying marks, as described above, vary with each category of the candidates. Have a look at the table provided below to see the minimum required marks to qualify the exam and become eligible for consideration in NEET 2017 Merit List.

To delimit the number of candidates in admission process, CBSE will set a delimiting marks factor known as cutoff. It will be required for the candidates to score marks in NEET Result 2017 more than or equal to cutoff. Mere qualifying the exam doesn’t mean the candidate is eligible for counselling. A cutoff range of highest and lowest marks will be set and the candidates in the range will get the chance to mark options. The candidates who cross the cutoff parameter will be arranged in a merit list in the decreasing order of marks obtained. If two or more candidates score equal marks in NEET 2017 Result, a tie breaker mechanism will be applied. For this, the following criteria will be considered:
- Higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in NEET 2017
- Higher marks in Chemistry in NEET 2017
- Number of wrong answers in all the subjects of NEET 2017
- Age factor of the candidates
