How to Bathe French bulldog at Home in a Right Way
by Frenchie Sale French Bulldog CommunityBathing your French bulldog puppies can be an uphill task, especially when every time it puts up a struggle resisting the event. They are very soft and delicate breed, and hence you need to observe specific steps to offer the right bathing experience to your pet. Bathing dogs twice or thrice a month properly comes with its own set of advantages such as ridding the hair of filth/mud and stink, and the chances of suffering from a tick attack are also reduced in a clean coat.
Convert
the Frightening Bath Time to a Positive Experience for your Frenchie
A practical and
patient dog owner works with patience and tries to reinforce a habit through
attractive rewards. Timing plays the most crucial role here. Make a habit of
bathing while it’s still a puppy. You can also indulge him in toys and
delicious dog treats to encourage your pet to enter the shower area and stay
there. Eventually, the day will come when your dog will hop into a dog tub on
its own.

Bring
Your Dog in the Bath Area
First and
foremost is to place cotton balls in its ears to prevent water from entering
the big bat ears. If your dog is not comfortable with the same, take extra care
so that water doesn’t splash onto the years.
Test
the Heat of the water
Use lukewarm
water for bathing your Frenchie, they will never bear extreme cold or scorching
temperatures. Their skin is as sensitive as your baby’s. Check the water by
pouring some on your hand, if it burns your hand, then it is too hot for him
also. Add cold water to bring it to be normal.
Rinse
him completely
Before giving a
shampoo bath, first, rinse him thoroughly to remove the majority of the dirt
from wrinkles and coat.
Use
a Specialized Dog Shampoo
Your dog also
needs a good shampoo. To prevent his coat from shedding less, bathe your dog
with a special calming shampoo. If you use a shampoo that you use for yourself,
it will dry up the coat of your dog by extracting all-natural oils.
Rinse
out the shampoo
If your dog is
very dirty, give him two to three applications of shampoo one after another at
the same time. Rinse your dog, apply shampoo, and then rinse again. Prevent the
shampoo from getting into his eyes.
Dry
him with a clean towel
Now it’s time to
dry the coat of your Frenchie. Never leave any moisture in your Frenchie coat,
ears, wrinkles, and any other body part to prevent bacteria and germs from
making a home.
