Different Ways to Reach Mukteshwar

Mukteshwar, located in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, is situated near Ramgarh. Any modern means of transportation can get you to this exquisite place since connectivity via road, rail, and the air is quite good.

  1. Getting to Mukteshwar by air - The airport nearest to Mukteshwar is the Pantnagar airport, which is situated at an approximate distance of 94 kilometres from Mukteshwar. Exiting the airport, you can easily find taxis that drive you to Mukteshwar. The road between Pantnagar airport and Mukteshwar is a metalled road that lets you enjoy a pleasant drive. As for Pantnagar’s connectivity with the National Capital, i.e. Delhi, it has four round-trip flights per week.
  2. Reaching Mukteshwar via rail - The railway station nearest to Mukteshwar is Kathgodam Railway Station situated at a distance of 62 kilometres. Getting to Kathgodam is fairly easy as it is well-connected with major cities such as Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata, etc. Since Kathgodam is known as the gateway to the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, therefore, trains are frequent to Kathgodam. On a daily basis, two trains ply to and fro Delhi and Kathgodam. Once you arrive at Kathgodam via rail, it would be very easy to reach Mukteshwar since taxis and buses run frequently between the two towns.
  3. The road trip to Mukteshwar - The major cities of North India and famous destinations of Uttarakhand are well-connected with Mukteshwar through motorable roads. Ensure a pleasant stay in Mukteshwar
Once you reach Mukteshwar, all you would ask for is a cosy room to stay in. To ensure a hassle-free trip, it is always advised to book a room or suite in advance in one of the best resorts in Mukteshwar. During the summer season, Mukteshwar witnesses a cent per cent hotel occupancy rate, which makes it difficult to get hotel accommodation easily. Not having pre-booked a room or suite, many tourists find it hard to get good accommodation in Mukteshwar or a homestay in Mukteshwar, Nainital. Having finally arrived in Mukteshwar and checked in to your homestay, it would be time to rest and recharge. While resting, you may figure out the activities you can enjoy during your stay in Mukteshwar as per your interests and liking.
