How can you accept Payment with QuickBooks point of sale?

Accepting the digital payments is an essential process of every online business. You can accept payment with QuickBooks point of sale, and here are some ways how to accept credit card payments in QuickBooks using the native QuickBooks software. You can enter a credit card payment from the Receive Payment, Sales Receipt, or Invoice pages.

To enter a credit card payment from the Receive Payment page or Sales Receipt by going through the steps:

1.     Tap on Create (+) > Receive Payment if you receive payment for a sale that you already entered on an invoice.

2.     After that, you can click on Create (+) > Sales Receipt if you record a sale and receive immediate payment.

3.     Now, complete all the details in the required form

4.     Choose a credit card for Payment method and tap on the option– Enter credit card details

5.     You can opt any one from the following:

a)     Enter in the credit card information and tap on the Save button.

b)    After that, swipe the credit card by hitting on the Swipe card and then swiping the card through the reader.

c)     Hit on Save and close button to save the transaction and process the payment.

Effective Steps to enter a credit card payment from the Invoice page:

If any customer provides you a partial payment and you have an invoice issue for the balance, then you can process a credit card payment from the Invoice page.

To follow the relevant steps, turn on your deposits, and it can be done by going through the steps mentioned below:

1.     First of all, Hit on the Gear icon> Company Setting

2.     Choose sales, and then tap on the option Sales form content and choose  Deposit option.

To proceed further, you must enter the credit card information manually:

  1. First of all, tap on the Create and then on Invoice.
  2. Fill all the requisite details in the form
  3. In the Deposit field, type the deposit amount.
  4. From the Payment method dropdown list, choose the option of credit card type.
  5. Now, hot on Enter credit card details to change the credit card information.
  6. Choose the option– Process credit card.
  7. Finally, tap on Save and close button.
