Healthy Malai Soya chaap Recipe at your Home

Malai Soya Chaap recipe is popular in the Northern parts of India. It will be a little spicy and a little creamy. It is suitable for healthy dinner because the soya will contain high protein content. The malai soya chaap is liked by all age group peoples of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. 

The malai soya chaap is made with the help of soy flour and wheat flour. This malai soya chaap will be the best recipe for occasions like wedding parties or birthday parties.

Points to be noted before making malai soya chaap

Initially, the soya has to soak in water overnight. Then the soaked soya has to boil in water for 5 to 7 minutes. The boiled soya chaap has to undergone through the water to remove the impurities. Finally, the soya chaap has been squeezed from the water. The 25 cashews are boiled in water and the boiled cashews are grounded to produce the fine paste.  

Ingredients for the making of malai soya chaap

  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 200 grams of soaked soya chaap
  • One and a half cup of dahi/yogurt.
  • Grounded cashew paste
  • 1 cup of malai or fresh cream. 
  • 1 tsp of ginger paste
  • 1 tsp of garlic paste
  • 1 tsp of Hara dhania or cilantro in a chopped manner
  • 1 tsp of fresh pudina or mint in a chopped manner.
  • 1 tsp of sendha namak or rock salt or table salt
  • 1 tsp of coriander powder
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • ½ tsp of black pepper powder
  • 2 fresh green chilies in a finely chopped manner
  • Needed quantity of cilantro in a chopped manner for decoration.

Preparation of Malai Soya chaap

  • The stick has been removed from the soya chaap and cut it into the inch of 1 to 1.5 chunks.
  • Then add the soya chaap chunks in a bowl. 
  • In the next step add salt, black pepper powder and a little quantity of curd and lemon juice in the bowl. The bowl has to cover and placed in a refrigerator for 40 to 45 minutes.

For the making of malai gravy

  • The Almonds and Kasuri methi have to be ground with dry coconut and keep this mixture aside. 
  • Now heat the pan with 1 tsp of oil. Then add onions in it. 
  • Once the onion turns pink color, the ground coconut masala can be added.
  • The coconut masala can be cooked for 3 to 4 minutes and then marinated soya chaap can be added.
  • Now add fresh cream/ malai and then chili and pepper powder can be added.
  • It will be cooking for 4 to 5 minutes and mix well.
  • Finally decorates the dish with fresh coriander leaves and green chilies. And it is ready to serve.

Bottom Line

The malai soya chaap recipe will be ready in nearly 1 hour and it is served for 3 to 4 persons. So it can be used as evening snacks for children which is also very healthy and receipe. If you do it for children they will definitely love its taste and will ask again and again.
