by Harsh Agarwal Content Writer

Running late for a meeting & not getting your white shirt? Or you are unable to find that favourite leggings of yours?

Well if not this then you can definitely relate to this common statement made by every woman, “I have nothing to wear”. It is because of our not-so-organized wardrobe that makes finding things difficult for us. Getting ready would be so easier if you know the location of your favourite jeans, dress, kurta, skirt etc.

So to avoid any last minute delays, it is better to keep your closet neat and organized.

Based on the size of your wardrobe, the amount of stuff and space you have, you can organize your wardrobe in your own unique style. However, below are some of the tips that can be applied to any wardrobe or closet.

1. Organising by type of clothing/Make sections

It is always advisable to organise your closet into sections, rather than hanging the clothes as it is. For e.g. arrange your wardrobe into separate sections like kurtas, tops, bottoms, shirts, work wear, special occasion clothing etc. as it will help you to find them easily.

2. Organising each section

Now that you have already arranged your clothing into neat sections, you can further tidy it up by organising each section of your closet. This can be done in many ways like arranging the clothing by colour, putting shirts/tops by sleeve length, separating dresses as per the occasion or by their length etc.

3. Usage of vertical space in your closet

If you have space issues, it is best to utilise the vertical space in your closet to store bags, shoes, jewellery, folded stuff, lingerie etc. You can also make use of organisational tools like dividers, small boxes for utilising the vertical space. For example, you can keep the large bags or stack shoe boxes on the shelf above the clothing rack.

4. Invest in organisational tools

The markets are flooded with useful organisational tools like containers, racks, hooks, dividers etc. that can make your closet look neat and structured in no time. These tools also help in keeping your clothing and accessories separately and accessible. For example, attaching small hooks inside of your closet door will help you in hanging scarves, long necklaces, belts etc. Moreover, you can use small, transparent containers to store shoes, so that you don’t have to check all the boxes while looking for one pair as you can see-through them.

5. Use drawers to store small clothing

It is best to use the drawers of your closet to store socks, handkerchiefs, lingerie etc. You can also separate the items using dividers. This will help in keeping your wardrobe tidy and also avoid these small clothes to go missing between the larger ones.

So these are some of the easy hacks that you can surely apply for wardrobe management. This festive season, don’t forget to revamp your closet with the all-new Celebwear starring Disha Patani by Aurelia.
