Google Chrome to block the annoying ads for a smoother browsing experience

Google has revealed that the Chrome browser will block displaying the promotional ads including their own advertisements. Though Google makes the majority of its money via advertising, it has taken the step of blocking excessively annoying ads to ensure that every internet user is having a pleasant and uninterrupted surfing experience.

According to the report, this American Multinational Technology Company has announced that Chrome’s built-in ad-blocker will be launched on February 15, 2018. The report also entailed that Google’s highly anticipated ad blocker extensions have been on the leap.

Google, this year, has initiated with the ‘Coalition for Better Ads’, which is an organization that grants specific criteria for how the industry should enhance ads for customers. However, there is one condition that Google will follow “A website should follow all the Better Ads Standards to display their ads”. If any website does not meet Google Ad standers, this will indicate that the ad is annoying and violating the rules.

For a pleasant user experience, Google has announced to ban ads that follow the mentioned criteria:

  • Full-page ad interstitials
  • Ads that suddenly play sound
  • Flashing ads

The alliance which provides guidelines for organizations using the Better Ads Standards to improve user’s involvement with online ads has also announced for the ‘Better Ads Experience Program’, lately.

By going through Google’s Ad Experience Report, companies or websites admin can identify which ad doesn’t meet the Standards of Better Ads. Ads will be displayed from a business perspective if the website possesses a “passing” status.

Google is using a simple strategy towards the approach:

Google will use Chrome to suspend ad stocks from the website that enables low-quality ads as illustrated by the ad standards. Basically, every single ad that violates aforementioned standards will not be acceptable by the Google and will be considered under the “publicist breaking the guidelines” category.

If a website’s ad showing status exceeds 30 days or more, Chrome will automatically block showing ads on that website. On the other hand, if the website has a “passing” status, ads will be shown as on the website. Before the website starts to show ads again, it will require using the Ad Experience Report to request a reconsideration of the website.

This approach has two different consciences:

  • It holds people who are concerned about their surfing experience on Chrome
  • And, it assists websites to stop junky ads and serve more acceptable ads for every user

The built-in ad blocker tool is only one feature that Google has devised so you can have an absolute surfing experience without interruption of any pop-up
