Goa in Monsoon - Things to do on Holidays

by Travel Adviser It's a Travel agency
Love nature? Travel to Goa in the monsoon season, which begins in early June and lasts till last September. The best time to visit, however, is between mid-November and mid-February when the weather is cool, comfortable and pleasant. If your kind of holidays revolves around beaches, then you are likely to follow the crowd – board the jam-packed flights and spend more than enough on transportation and accommodation.

The other side of the coin is rather encouraging. The only thing you need to have is a little bit of adventure spirit. Imagine you are walking on the road and it rains all of a sudden! It can be fun to get wet at times. The adventure part of the whole thing is that you are caught almost unprepared. What you do in such a situation will become a thrilling story that you would love to tell and retell long after you finish the journey.

Traveling in monsoon has financial advantages, too. Discounted airfares are highly unlikely during peak seasons. Hotels are easily filled to their capacity, so why would they offer any rebate on their normal charges? The things get changed dramatically, when you travel in monsoon. Airlines and travel companies are willing to offer you great discounts on flights to Goa from London. Moreover, some travel companies, such as Hoodaki, also take the pain to procure discounts on hotel prices for their clients.

Discover the fun of traveling to Goa in monsoon. Here are some great things to do if you are on holidays.

Goa Beaches
  • Shun beaches and explore places of nature instead. Lush greenery and blooming flowers are such an enticement you could hardly resist! Incessant rains turn national parks and sanctuaries into a paradise for nature lovers. It would be an altogether different experience to visit these places in the monsoon season.

Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary
  • The most accessible place of nature is Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, which has a mini zoo and deer safari park among many other attractions. Kids will have a pleasant time, spotting animals and playing around the park. Despite being small, Bondla also has many nature trails, enabling you to go hiking and explore more of the park. Book Goa flights at low fares and marvel at the wonders of Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary.

Dudhsagar Water Falls
  • Mollem National Park, although a bit difficult to access, can be the best you can find in and around Goa. Located 57 km east of Panaji, the capital of Goa, the park is noted for the famous Dudhsagar Falls, which becomes massive and more picturesque during the monsoon season. It would be a fantastic sight to see water raging down from a huge height. Exploring the park further, you can find more falls, ancient temples, and a wealth of flora and fauna.

  • Staying indoors is another option to enjoy the beautiful rainy season in Goa. Ask your hotel staff to know about the entertainment facilities available indoors. Indulge in the activities available at your hotel or come out to visit one of the many museums, churches and other landmarks with enclosed spaces. Take advantages of the cheap flights to Goa from UK and see structures of international recognition, such as Se Cathedral, Goa State Museum and the Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Its depends on for what reason and to whom you are going. If you love nature then June to September is the best time to visit Goa when the weather is cool, comfortable and pleasant.
Goa has two main “seasons”. All of Goa is open for business in full force for about 6 months of the year from mid October through April, and for the other 6 months most of Goa closes down. If you want to know more about Goa, Read this blog - jasleengill.com/goa-travel-guide/
