Get to Know More About the Supreme Mazda Premacy

Mazda Premacy is a five-door MPV that was first introduced in 1999 until 2018 by Mazda. The Premacy is an All-Wheel-Drive or Front-Wheel-Drive car that can accommodate 5-7 passengers. The second-generation Mazda Premacy CR was released in 2004 followed by its third-generation CW in 2010. 

Engine

The Premacy offers two engines, the 1.8L straight-4 engine producing 85 kW (115 hp) at 5300 rpm with an average fuel economy of 8.2L/100km and the 2.0L straight-4 DOHC LF engine producing 110 kW (148 hp) at 6500 rpm with average fuel economy of 7.9L/100km. Both engines were powered by a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The third generation Premacy offered a 1.8L, 2.0L, and the new 2.5L straight-4 engines attached to a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic with start/stop technology that automatically shuts and restarts the engine. In 2013, Mazda released a 2.0L Skyactiv engine attached to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Interior

The Premacy has a spacious interior with a 2750 mm wheelbase and 112 liters of boot space which can be expanded by folding the rear seats flat making a flat load floor for more space. It features a 6+1 seating layout with two individual chairs that slide, recline, fold flat and both have lift-up bases with extra storage. The seventh seat is an extra flip-up cushion on the left-hand chair with a central armrest as back support. Also features sliding and reclining seats in the center seats for a more comfortable riding experience. The center console offers climate control knobs, a gear stick, a DVD player with a monitor that doubles as an automatic rearview display, a rubberized tray dash shelf, and 8 bottle holders. 

The third-generation models come with cruise control, electric windows, air-conditioning, multifunction steering wheel, 16-inch alloy wheels, and electrically adjusted and heated door mirrors. The upper trim model offers parking sensors, climate control, Bluetooth, privacy glass, and automatic lights while the Sports trim includes leather finishing and 17-inch alloy wheels.

Exterior

The Premacy exterior is equipped with two front doors with oversized rearview mirrors, fog lights, alloy wheels, two rear sliding doors, and a rear tailgate. In 2008, the Premacy offered new exterior looks with a new front grille, a newly redesigned front, and rear bumper, revised front headlights, and rear LED taillights.

Safety

The Mazda Premacy comes with standard active and passive car safety features which include an airbag deactivation system that detects whether the occupant is an adult or child and adjusts the airbag and seatbelt accordingly. Also, include Traction Control system (TCS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
