Set up in the year 1899, the Hamilton Mountain Seventh-day Adventist Church is turning the initial Adventist Church in Hamilton and another one is in Ontario. The present location of the church’s is on the edge of the Niagara escarpment, recognized in Hamilton as “The Mountain,” was built in the year 1951. The area is around at 285 feet above sea level, provides an amazing view that overlooks lower Hamilton and Lake Ontario for the City of Toronto.

Popularly called as the “Mountain Church,” it is known as the “Mother Church” in Hamilton, making a number of ‘daughter’ churches: Hamilton East set up in the year 1972; a church in Burlington (1976) that afterward combined with the Oakville group to make the Bronte Church; Lincoln Pioneer Memorial; Heritage Green; Living Word Fellowship and Hamilton Filipino-Canadian Church. More institutions executed with the help of an elementary school: Grandview Adventist Academy (1979) situated in the Mount Hope, and the Heritage Green Nursing Home (1982) located right on the Stoney Creek Mountain.

With more than 400 members belong to more than 38 different countries, Hamilton Mountain Churches is a multicultural church packed with believers who admit Jesus Christ as Saviour or even Lord. In the faithfulness to the mission, the team is aimed strive to be a church that even cares for the members and to continually be a lighthouse to the group community.

The team works through the worship, fellowship, for lessons in the Word, for the festivity of the Lord’s Supper, and for the global public statement of the gospel, assisting in spreading the amazing words of God’s love and Jesus’ come soon.

There are number of amazing services offered by the churches. They are imagining St. John as productive ground for creating, encouraging and strengthening followers of Jesus Christ. It is surroundings energized by appropriate lively worship services and appealing study groups. They see the building of religious mentors and deep religious friendships being promoted. They observe a church where the wish to grow is watered, fed and nurtured.

The team envisions the people of St. John United Church powered by the Holy Spirit, with hearts on fire, following the hope, light and good news of Jesus Christ into the Hamilton society.
