There are even weights made for use in water. While it may not seem like much, using these weights will increase the intensity of any activity you do and make you really burn those calories.

Owning a few ankle, wrist and hand held weights is also far less expensive than a gym membership or buying a full home gym. Furthermore, while gym memberships and home gyms often go to waste when people lose motivation or struggle to overcome inertia, fitness weights can be seamlessly integrated into ones existing lifestyle and can therefore be easily used for weight loss and fitness improvement for years to come.

2. Decrease the amount of energy consumed

Decreasing ones energy consumption depends not only on reducing the amount of food being eaten, but also being disciplined about the type of food being eaten. Fat and sugar are the two main ingredients of which to be wary. If you look at the nutritional information on butter packaging you will find that every 100g of full fat butter contains around 80g of fat. This equals just over 3000 kilojoules of energy or just over 700 calories. On a pack of sugar you will see that every 100g of sugar contains 1700 kilojoules or approximately 400 calories. Therefore, consuming a number of foods per day that contain even a little of each of these ingredients will result in a high calorie intake for the day.
