The term “model portfolio” could mean several things. A female model’s portfolio is the collection of images (or versions) that she has created for herself and other prospective modeling agencies. While the term “model portfolio” is commonly used among female models, this simple description alone can give you an idea of the kinds of images and pictures that a portfolio should include. It does not necessarily have to be a photo album; it could just be a set of pictures showcasing a favorite style or posing pose. The key to making a great female model portfolio is finding the right photos to display in a way that grabs the viewer’s attention.

The first step in creating a model portfolio is to take an inventory of the styles and poses that you have found most appealing. You will want to compile a nice photo book or album filled with pictures,

that show different aspects of your style. Some people like the sparkle in a model’s eyes, while others love the straight lines and geometric shapes they find in their portraits. There are also those who are drawn to models with tattoos. Regardless of what your personal preferences are, it can be fun to make a selection based on the many different styles that are featured in your photo book.
