Started in the early 17th century, this is the oldest form of media source for information circulation. Print media has been the building block of media converges. Though, now modernization has introduced various other media sources that are faster than this. But, still newspapers have much to offer and hold a large section of media market. Based on the basic of printing, it supports other media sources also. Almost all television or radio news programs are first written, edited and then are made for public addressing. In addition, Internet which is the most viable source of information provider today also uses printing over uploading videos and photos because of ease in loading of pages. Newspapers and journals provide the most detailed world news as these are not dependent on time likewise other media segments.

Radio Technology

Radio transmission technology started in early 19th century and soon changed the way of media transmission. The meaning and usage of the word "radio" has developed in parallel with developments within the field of communications. It is second-oldest form of media. Earlier, it was launched for private and government purposes for sending secretive messages. Looking at the popularity and ease of mass addressing, it was made as the communication provider of global news. It is the most interactive medium after internet. Radio, also achieves a higher level of audience due to its wide network coverage, even at remote areas, which makes it more credible.

Evolution of television media came in early 90’s and soon after dominated over radio and print media. Providing audio and visual coverage over latest world news made it more popular. Thus, instead of just reading or listening now viewers were able to see the latest happenings from all parts of world. This set a wide platform for becoming the most compelling and attention-grabbing medium over other present media sources for information broadcasting. A few news channels are there providing 24-hour live coverage of events. In India only there are over 80 news channels broadcasting regional, national and international news.

Internet Technology

The emergence of internet removed the time boundaries made by other media sources and is now the most viable source of getting global news. The ease of access made it even more popular because now with just a click viewers can access all sorts of news as per their interest. Soon after its launch, news websites gained the trust of public and established as a legitimate source of information provider.
