Esport is important not only for gamers but also for the nongamers. Since video gaming is becoming an interesting activity, the gaming industry is improving and many new things are generated in the gaming world. Nowadays, gaming isn’t just a fun activity, but it is believed that it is an art, profession, and passion. It has got the similar values as the physical sports have. In recent, big esports events are organized, and sports companies are funding for tournaments, and a huge audience is supporting the events.

Video gaming platforms are organized at the world level. In ancient days, gaming, maybe, not considered a good activity, but in recent days, a kid can be a star and legend of the world gaming platforms. Whereas gaming was just played for enjoyment and time killing, esport has given a platform to the gamers and added passion in their gaming activity.

As well as, it has given a path and hope to the game lovers. Before this, games were just loved by the regular players, but the challenges and competition have gained the attention of everyone and has created a huge audience that makes a gamer professional and a celebrity.

The Past of Esports

In the 1980s the first real video game championship, with 10,000 participants gathered in the Space Invaders Championship. However, much of this period was seen players focus on overcoming each other's higher scorers rather than competing in organized tournaments.

With the increasing popularity of games, the nineties became the first decade when e-sport (a term not yet formulated) started, with companies like Nintendo and Sega holding professional gaming tournaments. This is also when we started seeing money becoming a factor in professional games - people are no longer only playing for glory but prizes.

International Esports Event 2020

Fortnite is the most popular online game and the Fortnite World Cup is a well-known international video gaming competition. In the world cup, 100 players are chosen from all around the world on merit bases. Millions of Fortnite players are willing to participate in this world cup. Last year, the winning price was 100 dollars, which is the biggest pool prize of all time in esport.

The second event is the International. This event is organized for DOTA 2 game which is also a popular game. Today, it is one of the biggest events of esport, because the number of participants is greater than other events. The event is organized by the Valve Cooperation, and the dates and details for the 2020 event are not announced yet.

League of Legends World Championship is an annual world gaming competition. This tournament is celebrated mostly and the 2020 tournament is going to be held in China. This year's tournament is hosted by Riot Games. It is expected that 24 teams from 14 different countries are going to appear in this tournament.

BlizzCon is one of the older esport events. It is organized at the world level since 2005, and now there are huge participants for the 2020 tournament. This event is hosted by Blizzard Entertainment, an American video game developer.
