Everything You Need To Know About Vaser Liposuction

What is VASER liposuction?
You may not be familiar with VASER liposuction in Dubai. This is due to the fact that it is a relatively new treatment that use ultrasound to break down fat cells in the body prior to removal.

VASER is an acronym that stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy. The energy produced by ultrasonic waves has the potential to release fat cells from deeper tissue. It then turns them into liquid, making them far easier to remove than traditional liposuction.

Traditional liposuction vs. VASER liposuction
VASER liposuction is not the same as traditional liposuction, which uses water pressure and lasers to break down fat cells. VASER liposuction can precisely target the location from which the cells are to be removed.

Not only that, but it is minimally invasive because it only involves tiny incisions, which eliminates the need for stitches and results in minimum scarring. It also reduces bleeding and bruising, which can lead to a quicker healing time.

The ability of the ultrasound to precisely target the fat cells means that adjacent blood arteries and nerves are less likely to be injured than with traditional liposuction.

Unlike other types of liposuction, VASER can be used to treat cellulite.

When all of the early swelling has subsided, it can take up to three months to see the complete benefits of VASER liposuction. After six months, the skin over the area where the treatment was performed will have tightened entirely.

Most frequently targeted areas
The procedure is usually carried out on parts of the body where persistent fatty deposits tend to accumulate. This includes the stomach and hips, as well as the underside of the arms and thighs. However, it can also be used on other places such as the neck and chin, the back, the flanks, the knees, and the ankles.

Getting ready for treatment
It's a good idea to get yourself as healthy as possible before any type of anaesthetic therapy, as with any other type of treatment that requires anaesthesia. This includes limiting drinking and smoking, both of which can cause more severe bruising. Any dietary supplements or blood thinners that may interact with the anaesthesia should also be avoided. Get plenty of sleep and avoid sunlight or tanning. These precautions avoid avoidable complications and improve the body's chances of recovery.

Before the procedure, a general or local anaesthetic is administered. For minor surgery, a saline solution containing local anaesthetic is injected into the area where liposuction will be performed. The probes are then implanted through a skin incision. The ultrasound vibrations break up the fatty tissue, and the debris is vacuumed out of the body via a cannula. The treatment might last from one to three hours, depending on the degree of the liposuction.

Recovery from liposuction
Because VASER liposuction is a less invasive surgery, you should be able to go home the same day. Rest for at least three days, though this depends on how much liposuction you had and where the ultrasound was used.

Rest part of the fluid will be retained by the body and will eventually leak out. There should be no pain, however there may be some swelling around the affected area. Bruising and numbness may also occur during this time.

A unique compression garment must be worn every day for 6 to 8 weeks to help reshape the body. It is also useful to massage the area on a daily basis to aid in the movement of fluid and leftover fat into the lymph system. Some clinicians recommended a course of lymphatic drainage roughly a week following a liposuction treatment to help avoid edoema.

Side effects
Aside from swelling and potential bruising, frequent liposuction side effects include transient numbness, scars, and swollen ankles.

Long-term numbness, fluid buildup or even a clot in the lungs, organ damage, or an allergic reaction to the anaesthesia are less typical adverse effects. This is known as lidocaine toxicity, and it can cause major nervous system and heart problems in people who are already sensitive.
