Fortnite Battle Royale is becoming a cultural phenomenon! Following the huge success of PUBG, Epic Games released a mobile spin off of their very own cooperative survival game which is available for PC and higher game consoles. Fortnite Battle Royale perfectly combines all the interesting elements of a typical survival game while adapting the last-man-standing gameplay. While it follows the standard battle royale game format, Fortnite is special on its own due to its unique building or crafting system. The objective of the game is simple and that is to survive and be the last man standing. So if you think you are skillful enough to survive, feel free to download Fortnite and see how far you can go.

Gameplay

The mechanics are simple yet surprisingly tricky that strongly requires players to apply the best and most effective strategy to maximize their chances of surviving. The game starts by deploying all the 100 online players on a remote island via “Battle Bus”. Each player will glide down to their preferred drop point and that’s where the real action begins. Interestingly, players will start their journey with no weapons to protect them which makes scavenging an essential element of the game.

Weapons and armors are randomly scattered on the map and players must hunt every possible location to obtain stronger weapons. While you keep yourself busy scavenging for weapons, you must observe your surroundings very keenly because you can never tell where or when the enemies will attack. Be mindful that this is a survival-of-the- fittest game and everyone around you serves as your enemy. Basically, you should not spare any mercy to win this game.

Crafting

Epic considered Fortnite as a merge between Minecraft and Left4Dead. It is not really surprising to see some notable elements from the aforementioned games especially the building system from Minecraft. Just think of an action-packed version of Minecraft in a well-polished graphics. The crafting system in Fortnite makes it more distinctive than any of its leading competitors. The players have the ability to gather materials by destroying objects and obtain resources like Woods, Metal and stones in return.

Just like Minecraft, you can use these basic resources to build items. Players can build various fortifications like walls, floors, roofs and ramps. They can use such to protect themselves from gunfire, to traverse the map or to slow down enemies. You just have to be clever enough and put the materials in great use to maximize your chances in winning.

The Eye of the Storm

The main challenge in this game comes in when the Eye of the Storm began to shrink. Possibly the most common element in any Battle Royale game is the shrinking game zone which will absolutely put your skills on a great test. As the battlezone shrinks, those players caught outside the safe zone will take severe damage and will potentially die if they are not fast enough to catch up. This also forces players to explore and fight on a tighter space.

Explore Themed Seasons

Another great element you can find when you download Fortnite is the season system. Each season will last for more or less 12 weeks. Every time the season changes, the game will introduce players to an interesting theme. A Medieval theme was introduced on the second season followed by a Space-themed on the third. Season 4 took us on a Superhero theme while the current one is a time travel themed season. These seasonal changes provide Fortnite Battle Royale an incredible replay value.

Now Available for Android

Fortnite Battle Royale was initially released for iOS devices leaving Android users with so much anticipation. It was a massive success for Epic Games and the impact was truly overwhelming. It took Epic Games four months before they finally let Android users download Fortnite on their devices. However, there is a catch! Fortnite Battle Royale is not available through Google Play Store. In order to download Fortnite on your mobile, you have to visit the Epic Game’s official website.

Take note that they are not going to give you any apk files directly. Instead, hopeful players must sign up for email invite from Epic Games. They will send you and email invitation with a link to download Fortnite and install the Fornite Installer on your phone. It may not be as easy as clicking the install button on Google Play Store but still worth the wait!
