Does Tanishq really want to solve customer complaints? Rajeev Kashyap Case History?

Tanishq is a diamond and Jewellery company owned by Tata group and have online presence thru https://www.tanishq.co.in/ and we all know Mr. Ratan Tata is the pride of India. He has been known a person of values and all his company’s policies are very employee centric. Each and every Indian have big respect for him and all those respect he has earned and very well deserved.

But all his effort goes in waste bin due to poor customer support staff.

Background of Dispute of Rajeev Kashyap Case

Here we will discuss the matter of Rajeev Kashyap who is a customer of Tanishq company since a decade and the matter is around the Golden harvest scheme of Tanishq where customer pays in advance to Tanishq on monthly basis and once period is over customer is eligible for shopping the jewellery and if customer don’t want to shop then Tanishq have to refund the deposit money as per RBI guideline.

In this case Tanishq was failed in returning money on time as per RBI guidelines. Even Tanishq printed the cheque and send to client without informing to Rajeev Kashyap on call. When client have not recd. money then he called tanishq customer care that he has to fill a form and then they will arrange RTGS /NEFT.

 

Client have filled the google form on same day and then again client is waiting for their mercy to refund. They took end no. of days in RTGS and after few days (When client is doing follow-up) replied that name is not matching with their records whereas Mr. Rajeev have given them all Aadhar card copy and cancel cheque copy. So the mistake was in their database and client have provided all details correctly.

Again they asked to fill same google form and to attach again Aadhar card copy in form and cancel cheque copy. Mr. Rajeev third time did this as well. Again end no. of days gone and Rajeev is waiting for his own money.

Rajeev called to customer care on many occasions to escalate the matter and every time customer care dept.  kept his phone on hold for 15 to 25 minutes and finally they disconnected the line by saying that manager is not available and they will arrange call back. But at the end no body called to him.


Social Media Drive and Complaint

At the end when nothing works then social media helps. Rajeev opted to put negative comment on social media platform about their pathetic customer service and harassing customers. He marked other competitor of tanishq like Kalyan jewellers, PC Jewellers.  His BP was really high during all these mental stress. He saw lots of complaints on social media page of Tanishq given by other customers as well and then he was more tensed.


Escalation to Tanishq Head Office

Rajeev was interested to talk to someone in head office, though social media was helpful to some extent where their customer care responded on mail, but not arranged call from India Customer Care Head (Who reports to Mr. Ratan Tata) what Rajeev was looking for. Rajeev asked for apology from India customer care head on social media platform and their regional customer care to come at home and apologize for harassing him and mental torture.

On 17th March, from Tanishq HO, Divjyot kaur called to Rajeev and apologized on call and she gave assurance that she will arrange apology on social media from India customer care head though she mentioned that she is head of customer care (Golden Harvest). Again she was also failed to do so and nothing happened.

The refund which was supposed to be done by 14th of Feb 2022 ultimately happened after one month on 14th March-2022 and that all could be possible because of Mr. Rajeev regular follow ups, escalations, suffering from mental trauma, high BP etc. but still what he wants apology from head of sales or Customer Care (Who reports to Mr. Tata) have never happened.

Conclusion:

ZERO and ZERO is conclusion till now. This really creates a mental trauma to anyone and we all should understand how the customer will feel when his own money is stucked and he asking his own money like a beggar.

We are sure that this can’t be the dream of Mr. Ratan Tata to harass a customer and to go beyond govt. instructions (RBI).
