1.    Candle holders are simple to make once you know how to. You can make simple ones using old CD’s. Stick on a small aluminium tray on the centre of the CD & fix the candle on it by lighting it & using a drop of wax to do so. Stick on small pebbles around the edges of the CD & paint them with glitter paint to make them look pretty & festive. You can also use marbles for this idea. Stick on marbles along the edges of your CD & on completion of one row stack on the marbles on the first row to make several rows. These look very pretty when lit!

2.    Use balloons to mame pretty candle holders! Blow up a balloon & dip it into hot wax halfway to create a rough semicircle of molten wax around the balloon. Let it dry & then deflate the balloon. You will have a pretty wax candle holder. Stick on a small aluminium tray on the bottom of the wax candle holder & add in a small thin candle to it. These look very pretty & glow when the candle is lit.

3.    Use old square shaped glasses & use them to create pretty candle holders. Paint them using glass colours for variations. Draw on some motifs too is you wish on these glasses & fill them with colour. Use glitter glass decorators or stick on mirrors on it. Simply add in any simple candle or scented candles you have invested in & use your very own candle holder this Diwali!

4.    You can also add in candles to a tall glass & surround the glass with fresh flowers, twigs & moss branches & tie them around using simple twine. It is a refreshingly beautiful idea & a pleasure who look at! Use vanilla pods or lavender which you can easily get online & tie them around the glass to give off a slight tinge of vanilla or lavender to the air in the room!
