1. GROSGRAIN

Grosgrain is an important type of Decorative Ribbon. Woven with thick fibres in the longitudinal sense, grosgrain is a little elastic and the perfect material for cutting and bordering. It is available in a wide range of colours and is relatively cheap. Altogether, an absolute necessity for every decorative crafter.

2. JACQUARD

This long-lasting ribbon is named after Joseph Marie Jacquard, the weaver of the 19th century. The ribbon is special because the pattern is similar on both sides, only in reverse colours. The high quality and appealing look of Jacquard ribbon makes it ideal for decorative purposes.

3. SATIN

Believe it or not, polyester ribbons are actually similar to "satin" ribbon. You can find satin in a single or double design in virtually any colour. It is one-sided, relatively cheap, and is great for gifts wrapping. Expansive satin with double faces is perfect for decorating. Lace Ribbon of different types can also be made in satin material.

4. PICOT EDGE

This ribbon is great for anything from binding bows to suspended ornaments and is decorative and cost-effective. Lined with twisted little loops, the picot edge ribbons give every product a pretty attractive texture.

5. PRINT

Technology has enabled us to print on the surface of a ribbon, any possible word, pattern or image. Printed ribbons look very similar to jacquards, but usually have only one patterned side. Glitter Ribbons can be made as Print Ribbons.

6. TWILL RIBBON

Twill tape has a diagonal or zigzag fabric which is very strong and supporting. It can be made from all kinds of cottons or synthetic fibres in white or other neutral tones. For tasks such as binding of the end of garments, enclosing drawing strings etc., this ribbon is perfect to use. The Cotton Twill Ribbon is the ribbon of this type.

7. SEAM BINDING

We saw using twill tape as a basic solution. Typically used to bind clothes, seam binding ribbons also create a lovely trimming material, which can be used to wrap the gifts.

8. ORGANDY

Organdy is unique with its thin and transparent composition and consists of silk, cotton or bead. It is easy to work with and is lightweight. Its stunning finish is an elegant way to decorate your gifts.

9. VELVET

Velvet Ribbons exudes luxury with its high texture and rich colours. Velvet is traditionally linked to the colder months of the year, however for the coming winters it is easy to use, store and reuse.
