Craft Refreshing Kiwi Bubble Tea

by Veronika Stoeva Manager
Seeking a jewel-toned sweet sip bursting with refreshing flavor? Look no further than homemade kiwi bubble tea! With just a few simple ingredients and easy steps, you can craft an Instagram-worthy cup of this Taiwanese specialty from the comfort of your kitchen. In recent years this drink has been very popular in Bulgaria.

Our bright green kiwi puree provides the tart, sweet base. Simply blend peeled kiwis with a bit of sugar or honey and lime juice, then strain for irresistibly smooth texture and vibrant color. Feel free to experiment with other fruit purees too like mango, guava or melon.

No bubbly tea would be complete without those chewy tapioca pearls that provide perfect little pops of texture. Cook pearls according to package instructions until translucent and softened, then soak in a sweetener-infused simple syrup.

Now let's layer our drink! Fill a tall glass with ice cubes then add 2-3 tablespoons of your cooked tapioca pearls. Next, pour the chilled kiwi puree over the ice, leaving 1-2 inches of space at the top.

Brew black tea or green tea then let it cool. Gently pour the tea over the fruit puree to create a two-toned effect. For extra creaminess, top with milk or your favorite dairy substitute like oat or soy.

Top with fresh kiwi slices, chopped mint, edible flowers - anything that adds a pop of color! Insert a reusable bubble tea straw and get ready to be transported with those delicious fruit and pearl bursts.

The flavor options are endless once you master the basics. Blend matcha, coffee or chocolate into the milk layer for unique flavor fusions. Swap the kiwi for mango, strawberry or other fruit purees. Get creative and craft your own bubble tea creations!
