CPA Exam Update:

In India, CPA Exam testing will begin on January 1, 2021. CPA aspirants may start using the scheduler from November 2, 2020.

With all the disruptions and inconveniences COVID-19 has caused worldwide in each field, it has been even more difficult for people to deal with situations. One of the most critical situations that need to be dealt with is ‘Exams.’ Exams are either being discontinued or postponed. However, even during these unpredictable times, the NASBA, AICPA, and Prometric just made an amazing announcement for all those hard-working CPA aspirants. The announcement is stated as follows: Testing for the CPA Exam at test centers in India will begin on January 1, 2021. This would probably mean a lot to all those aspirants who were having many confusions about the exams being continued in India.

CPA Prometric Locations in India:

The uniform CPA exam is administered in Prometric test centers in the United States and international locations.

Indian candidates may schedule to take the "US CPA Exam” in the Prometric locations given below:

Hyderabad
Ahmedabad
Mumbai
Delhi
Bangalore
Chennai
Kolkata and
Trivandrum

Candidates testing at any international testing center should pay the exam administration before he/she schedules with that particular Prometric. For this process, please sign in to the NASBA portal and select the option “International Administration.”

In this extremely difficult time, we know you have many concerns – the health of your families and friends, your colleagues and your communities. The coronavirus pandemic has affected us all in a way that we could not have imagined. Almost overnight, the world changed.

In the midst of this disruption, we want to help alleviate a concern that you may have – take your American CPA exam. We know you have spent an incredible amount of time preparing for this next step in your professional development. We also recognize that current travel restrictions, test center closings and other factors make it difficult or impossible for you to take the US CPA exam as scheduled. So, to help you on your way towards obtaining a CPA license and to maintain your health and safety, we will now administer the exam in India in eight Prometric test centers (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi and Trivandrum). We hope that the convenience of taking the exam in your country will ease some of your burden while you think about your family, friends and colleagues.

As of today, Indian applicants can plan to take any CPA exam section in the United States during the months of June and September 2020. We hope that Prometric’s test centers will be open from ‘here, and we will keep you informed of any developments. Here’s what it means for you.

To take a test in India, you must be or become an eligible CPA exam candidate with citizenship or a long-term resident of the following countries:

Bhutan
Bangladesh
Myanmar
Maldives
Nepal
Sri Lanka
United States

Candidates testing at any international test center must pay an exam administration fee before planning with Prometric. To do this, log in to your NASBA CPA Candidate Account Portal and select “International Administration”. The international administration process for the India region is now available.
