The mixture is composed of:

baking soda (1 cup)
corn starch (half cup)
a few drops of juniper essential oil (10 are enough)
Borax.

What is borax? It is a soft white crystal, with disinfectant properties, used in many detergents. It can also be purchased on Amazon.

These ingredients should be mixed in a container or bowl, preventing lumps from forming. The amalgam should be spread on the carpet and left to act for at least 3 hours (sometimes it may be necessary to keep it longer).
