CAT entrance exam for MBA

The various major entrance exams for this degree are cat 2012 and mat 2012. The cat exam is administered by the IIIM (Indian Institute of Management) at Ahmadabad branch. The mat exam is administered by AIMS (All India Management Studies), located at Delhi. These two management entrance exam, are national based and are conducted in almost all the major towns and cities of India. In order to appear for the management entrance exams, the candidate must be a graduate in any discipline, from a recognized university.

The written exams of cat and mat are mostly conducted on holidays. The entire question paper pattern is multiple choice question type. Thus, there is a negative marking for each wrong answer. The candidates, who qualify the written cat and mat exams, are called for the final group discussion GD and personal interview PI round. Final candidate selection is done based on their performances in the GD and PI rounds.

Candidates having good percentile in cat and mat written exams, will be given preference for the top MBA institutes of India.
