CAT 2015 Eligibility criteria­ check here !

With today's article we will update you regarding the CAT 2015 Eligibility criteria.Common Admission Test or CAT is a nationwide entrance exam conducted for MBA aspirants.This exam is conducted by IIM on a rotation based policy and this year IIM Ahmedabad will be conducting the exam.The process of filling the form for this entrance exam will start from the month of August 2015.But before that we will take you to a journey where you will get a deep knowledge of the CAT 2015 Eligibility criteria.

CAT Eligibility criteria 2015 follow­up-

Candidates who wish to appear for CAT 2015 exam need to have a look at the CAT 2015 Eligibility criteria.If any criteria are not fulfilled by the criteria,his/her candidature will be called off. The various important criteria are as follows­

1) There are no age restrictions prior to CAT Eligibility Criteria  exam.

2) Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in an discipline,with minimum marks which are different for reserved and unreserved categories. For reserved categories,it is 45% marks and for unreserved categories it is 50% marks.

3)The percentage of marks will be calculated on the criteria followed by that particular college/institution/university from where he/she has obtained the degree.

4)Candidates who are in the final year of their graduation and those students who have completed the degree requirements.If any such students are selected then have to produce the proof latest by 30th June 2016.The proof should state that they have completed the following requirements of the degree.this proof should be issued from the authorized department of the college/institution/university.

5) IIMs can verify the above­discussed norms at any time of the selection process.for the same,candidates are advised to provide valid e­mail address and mobile number.

List of Equivalent Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (4 years after 10+2/B.Sc./Diploma ) or B.E/B.Tech equivalent examinations that are recognized by MHRD/UPSC/AICTE.

2. Any Qualification which is recognized by Association of Indian Universities New Delhi and is equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree provide by UGC recognized University/Institutions.

3.If any case does not fulfill the above­mentioned equivalency of qualifications then a certificate must be produced from Association of Indian Universities,New Delhi.

Reservation norms under CAT Eligibility criteria­

1) Going with the requirements of Government of India, 15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates and 27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates who belong to the “non ­ creamy” layer (NC ­ OBC).

2) To check that a particular candidate can avail the reservation under the OBC category for both creamy and non­creamy layer,we request you to kindly visit the website link provided here­http://www.ncbc.nic.in.

3)According to the provision under section 39 of the PWD Act, 1995, 3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled (DA) candidates. The three categories of disability are:

a) Low vision blindness,

b) Hearing impairment and

c) Locomotor disability/cerebral palsy.

NOTE­

1) It should be duly noted that no change in the category could be done,once the registration window closes.

2) If any candidate fails to upload the required documents for the particular category he/she belongs to,then his/her CAT registration will face rejection.
