Have you felt unsatisfied with the direction of your current career? If so, you might've been thinking about switching industries. However, a lot of careers take forever to start. If you've felt like there aren't any options, consider a few of these. There are plenty of options you can choose from without such a massive time commitment.

Web Development

Nowadays, few careers are as versatile as web development. You don't even have to be all that good with computers. For example, have you thought about becoming a WordPress developer? WordPress is a platform that lets you build websites, complete with E-commerce functionality. Learning how to build websites with that platform doesn't take long at all. Plus, once you've figured it out, there's a massive demand for that skill set. Pitch your ideas to other small business owners, and they might hire you to build something for them. Not to mention, you get to set your own rates. Even better, you can work on your own schedule.

Real Estate Agent

Earning a lot of money doesn't always take a ton of time. In the real estate industry, you get to set how much you'll earn. If you can close more deals, then the sky's the limit. The more deals you close, the bigger your paychecks become. Plus, compared to most other industries, there's a super low barrier to entry. First, you've got to enroll in a real estate license course. There, you'll learn all about how the industry operates. After you've finished the course, you've got to take your exam. Then, you're ready to embark on an all-new career.

IT Support

Remote work has become more popular than ever in recent years. Nothing is better than waking up and not having a morning commute. For the most part, IT roles don't need a lot of skill. Certain certificates are desirable in the industry. But, if you can operate a computer, you've got most of the skills already. Besides, nearly every major company needs help in their IT department. Thus, there's never a lack of opportunity.

Medical Transcriptionist

Every time a doctor enters the room someone has to write down everything they say. Most of the time, the doctors themselves don't have the time to document everything. As such, they'll usually record everything on audio. A medical transcriptionist has to transcribe those recordings accurately. Becoming a transcriptionist is as simple as getting the right certificate. Plus, there's a ton of remote work in this industry. So, if you like setting your own hours, it's a great field.

Court Reporter

Court reporters fill a similar role to medical transcriptionists. However, they work in the legal field. Anyone who loves watching court dramas ought to consider this field. You'll write down everything said during court procedures. Sometimes, you can even attend court in person. Other roles might do the job remotely. Either way, you've got plenty of options. Everything you do in this job is highly important. Thus, making it great for people who crave purpose.

TEFL

Have you ever thought about becoming a teacher? If so, you might want to think about getting a TEFL certificate. This lets you teach English to students who speak other languages. Traveling is pretty easy with one of these certificates. Plus, a lot of students take their lessons online. So, you can work from anywhere with an internet connection.

Foreign Language Interpreter

Are you fluent in a foreign language? If so, you might want to think about getting a certificate to become an interpreter. You can translate spoken words in real-time. Or, you can translate documents on your own schedule. Regardless, there's always demand for this skill set. So, you shouldn't have a hard time finding work.
